Buyer shall assume full responsibility for shipping expenses. This includes shipping costs, packing and handling and any unforeseen associated additional shipping charges.
NOTE: By law, an adult of 21 years of age or older must sign for all shipments, so make sure that you request to have your wines shipped to your office or that an adult is at your desired ship-to location when your wines arrive. Arrival times cannot be determined and wines will be delivered from 8:00AM TO 6:00 PM Monday through Friday.
TITLE: Since the sale of the wine between Wine Menu and Buyer takes place at Wine Menu’s Northern California facility the Buyer becomes the owner of the wine prior to its shipment from Wine Menu’s facility. Provided that the insurance fee has been paid to Wine Menu prior to shipment and that Wine Menu has arranged the shipment on behalf of Buyer. Wine Menu will take all precautions to package the wine according to industry standards to minimize the possibility of damage. The Buyer is responsible for any and all signatures provided to the shipper as having received the buyer’s wine. So Buyers, make sure when your wines arrive that an authorized recipient adult is there to sign for your wine shipped from the Wine Menu to you as you will be responsible for anyone signing for your packages at your designated ship to address.
Wine Menu requires that all wines to be shipped are insured. A 3% packaging and insurance rate totaling 3% of the total order will be added to the buyer's total cost of wine at the time of the order.
Wine Menu will ship all wines "Ground Shipping" unless instructed in the "Comment Box on the Order Form" or by email to winemenu.net otherwise. If you wish to alert us to overnight or Express Shipping contact Tyler@winemenu.net. Ground shipping typically takes between 3 to 4 days in California and 4 to 8 days when shipped outside of California. Wine Menu will email you with the Tracking Information so that you can monitor your wine shipments. Wine Menu ships out many wine packages daily Monday through Saturday and all packages are shipped in the order of the “Order Received”, no exceptions unless overnight or express shipping arrangements are made by email or direct telephone conversation and agreed to by Wine Menu.
Wine Menu does ship "Two Day" Express Shipping or Overnight Shipping if requested putting your package ahead of all Ground Shipments with a special handling charge of $35.00 paid at time of order for this special handling service. This special courier service involves wine menu shipping staff driving your wines in an air conditioned vehicle to the local Fed Ex or UPS shipping plant so that your wines do not sit in an open shipping truck for 4 to 8 hours in extreme temperatures.
Overnight shipping: is available at the best effort by the couriers to all authorized locations without guarantee of delivery on time. Shipping company’s do their very best to deliver on time but offer no strict guarantees of 100% delivery on time. Wine Menu recommends that you order your wines with an appropriate lead time for shipments to arrive in time for any special event. Try to order two to five days earlier with overnight shipment instructions to circumvent your wine being lost or stolen misdirected by the shipper or for errors made in the ship to address. If noted early replacement wines can be shipped out in time to meet your special event deadline.
Wine Menu recommends that you ship only in safe temperatures. Wine Menu does not recommend that you request your wines to be shipped in extreme heat or cold although you may do so at your own risk. Your wines may be damaged if you do. Your wines should only be shipped if the shipping temperature is between 28 and 84 degrees Fahrenheit both from the Northern California temperature and your ship to address temperature. However, if you authorize us by fax with signature and date to ship your wines in extreme temperatures you must take 100% responsibility for any damage caused by extreme temperatures to your wines. Choose your shipping address carefully. We cannot replace wine damaged by heat or cold exposure.
